1. Every United States citizen age 18 or older who has resided in a municipality (city, township or village) or ward within the municipality for 10 days before any election is an eligible voter.
2. Any United States citizen age 18 or older who moves within this state later than 10 days before an election shall vote at his or her previous election district or ward.

Election day registration is allowed at the polls. The elector must provide proof-of-residence giving his or her complete name and address. Acceptable forms of proof-of-residence include: * A valid drivers license If the person registering on election day has a valid drivers license, he or she must provide the number to the registration deputy. If the person registering does not have the drivers license number with him/her, or refuses to provide the number, the person may vote a provisional ballot. The person must then provide the number to the municipal clerk by xxx the next afternoon in order for his/her vote to be counted. If the person does not have a valid state drivers license, he or she may provide the last 4 digits of his/her social security number or his/her State ID card number, and he/she will be permitted to vote Registering by Mail: Any elector may register before the close of registration for any election as follows: The elector shall obtain the
